Help with quick setup (tables, signs, diapers, produce) — about 10–15 minutes

Support client check-in and intake

Distribute diapers, produce, food boxes, and frozen items

Assist in the box truck passing out pre-packed food

Light clean-up as needed (usually minimal)

Distributions typically serve 75 families in New Hanover County and 100 in surrounding counties

Tasks are simple and well-organized — the team has a smooth system in place

The Healthy Food Box Production Coordinator will be onsite at all mobile pantry events to guide volunteers

Volunteers are welcome to help prep and load at the office beforehand, but this is optional.

Volunteers assist with stocking shelves, sorting food items, check-in, assisting clients in building their boxes, and clean-up.
This volunteer activity is suitable for children ages 10 and older with an accompanying adult. **Volunteers under the age of 16 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian at all times.**
